Shihan Jordan Diaz began his martial arts journey in 2001 at the age of seven, quickly setting his sights on earning a black belt and dedicating his life to training. In 2007, he achieved his first black belt under Master Louie Pande at Pande’s Black Dragon Karate in California. Over the years, he continued his training with Shihan Arnel Crescini at Ronin Dragon Karate, where he went on to earn his 5th degree black belt (Godan). He also holds a 1st degree black belt in Taekwondo under Master Paul Barker at Champion Karate West in Utah.
In 2014, Shihan Jordan began training in Shotokan Karate, a path that deepened his love for the art. Four years later, in 2018, he began studying under Hanshi Ricardo Llewelyn with the International San Ten Karate Association (ISKA). His dedication and leadership led him to become an official ISKA instructor in 2022, and in 2025 he was honored with the prestigious title of Shihan. He currently holds a 4th degree black belt (Yondan) under Hanshi Llewelyn. Alongside his karate training, Jordan also studies Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, expanding his knowledge and skills as a martial artist.
Shihan Jordan’s journey as an instructor began in 2011, when, with the support of his teachers, he opened his first dojo in Utah. His vision was to create a place where students of all ages could grow in both martial arts and life. In 2019, with Hanshi Llewelyn’s blessing, the dojo became Shotokan Karate Academy Lehi, officially joining the Shotokan Karate Academy family of California.
Today, Shihan Jordan teaches with passion and dedication, striving to inspire his students not only to become skilled martial artists, but also to develop confidence, discipline, and respect that will guide them throughout their lives.
