Meet the Sensei at Shotokan Karate Academy Lehi

Sensei Jordan Diaz
Chief Instructor
Sensei Jordan Diaz started his journey in the martial arts in 2001 at the age of seven. Since that very young age he knew he wanted to earn his black belt and continue this journey for the rest of his life. In 2007 Jordan earned his first black belt from Pande’s Black Dragon Karate in California under Master Louie Pande. After many years he continued his training with Shihan Arnel Crescini at Ronin Dragon Karate in California and earned his 5th degree black belt (Godan). He also holds a 1st degree black belt in Taekwondo from Master Paul Barker at Champion Karate West in Utah.
He began his journey in Shotokan Karate in 2014. Sensei Diaz currently holds a 2nd degree black belt (Nidan) in the International San Ten Karate Association under Hanshi Ricardo Llewelyn. Jordan met Hanshi Llewelyn in 2018 and continues his journey with him and the organization ISKA. Jordan plans on traveling to California quite often to continue his training with both Hanshi Llewelyn and ISKA.
In 2011 with the permission from his past instructors, Sensei Diaz opened up a dojo in Utah. In 2019 with the permission from Hanshi Ricardo Llewelyn, Sensei Diaz changed the name of his dojo to Shotokan Karate Academy Lehi, joining the Shotokan Karate Academy family of California. Sensei Diaz is a very dedicated instructor who will continue his journey in studying martial arts for many years to come.
